Research
My work combines causal forests, survival analysis, and panel-data econometrics to study employment, mental health, and robust statistical inference.
Selected research projects, 2024–2025.
Selected research projects
01
Job loss and mental health
Aug 2025 · Used German SOEP data (2002–2024), panel fixed effects, and causal forests to estimate heterogeneous effects of job loss on mental health across age, income, and education.
02
Reemployment after injury-induced unemployment
May 2025 · Analyzed return-to-work outcomes using employment records, logistic models, and survival analysis; implemented Weibull and Prentice–Gloeckler models with GAUSS and Python.
03
Cluster-robust inference for unbalanced panels
Oct 2024 · Developed a weighted estimator with asymptotic guarantees for extremely unbalanced panel data and assessed finite-sample performance through MATLAB Monte Carlo simulations.
